PEBB 2010 Plan Alert URGENT!!!!

It is imperative that you check here to see if your health care providers are in the new Providence Network. If not, notify Ernie Pressman by calling at 346-2967 or sending him email at pressman@uoregon.edu.

There is only one network under the new plan, the equivalent of Regence's preferred provider network. There won't be anything like the Regence participating provider network. If you opt to go to a provider who is not in the Providence network, you will be responsible for 100% of the difference between the billed amount and the "usual and customary charges" as well as 30% of the "usual and customary charges." There is no out-of-pocket limit on the amount you pay that isn't part of "usual and customary charges". The only way to limit this expense is to get your provider to forgive the difference.

There are many options for health insurance plans after you terminate employment with the university. Most of them will still be available when PEBB goes with the self insurance plan in 2010. Read about your options here.
