We are organizing a Lobby Day in Salem on Monday, 2/17 (Presidents' Day) to support the Part-Time/Adjunct Faculty Healthcare Bill. Did you know that many part-time faculty at public colleges in Oregon are prevented from qualifying for health care coverage simply because they teach at multiple institutions?
We would like to have at least 20 AFT-OR members present testimony related to adjunct faculty's struggles with obtaining affordable health insurance.
Members don't need to have lobbied before in order to participate. Trainings and informational materials will be provided on the day of.
