PORTLAND, OR - Today, AFT-Oregon published two resolutions adopted at the 2016 AFT-Oregon Convention on April 10th, “Resolution 2016-8: AFT Presidential Endorsement Process and Selection,” and “Resolution 2016-13: For a More Inclusive Endorsement Process.”
The resolutions call for clear and open communication between state and national federations, increased time for recommendations to be sent to the national federation by state federations, and the convening of a national working group to review the AFT presidential endorsement process.
AFT-Oregon calls for similar action from AFT-affiliated bodies across the country.
